J.I.W. has helped me learn more about myself. It has also helped me learn how to respect myself. So far, I have enjoyed making new friends and not just hang around my old friends. I also love that we get to volunteer. I am benefiting and proud to be in the Journey Into Womanhood program. |

Over the past year and a half JIW has helped me to become the young lady that I am today. It has without question been one of the greatest inspirations in my life. It's helped me change for the better, and gave me the opportunity to gain friendships that will last a lifetime. |

This organization has opened the door for many opportunities that I would have never had the chance to experience otherwise. Through the JIW program, I have received a full Jacksonville Jaguars Community Scholars Scholarship to the University of North Florida. I am currently a junior in the nursing program, and have just received news of another scholarship being awarded to me to go to Ghana, South Africa in the summer of 2009. |

| Journey Into Womanhood |
I've been a part of Journey Into Womanhood since the
summer of 2005. Already I have grown to enjoy this program.
The people are nice and very welcoming. From my experience
in this program, I've grown to be more social and focused
on my future.

JIW (Journey Into Womanhood) has had a major impact
on my life because I have had the opportunity to meet some
very nice young ladies and have become close with almost
all of them. Also, I had the experience of attending my
first college fair with this program. I had guidance
from the program director to show me how to basically sell
myself to the colleges at the college fair. It was
definitely a learning process. Also through this program,
I was able to make a resume’. This program has been
a fun learning experience for me.

As a founding participating mom, JIW (Journey Into Womanhood)
has been phenomenal. It is the type of program all mothers
should want their daughters participating in. It teaches
them leadership skills, conflict resolution, becoming a
young lady and skills to further their education. I want
to say thanks to the program director, for giving time
to help our girls become young ladies that will give back
to the community.
