Empowerment Resources Inc., a private 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Empowerment Resource's Journey Into Womanhood™ (JIW) program originally started as a summer program in 2003. Due to the success of the program and request from parents, youth, and the community, the JIW program

was extended throughout the year. Most JIW components are presented by community agencies and businesses that volunteer their time and service. In 2006, Empowerment Resources added other programs and services to meet the needs of the community. Empowerment Resources seeks to not only to empower youth and their families, but to establish community partnerships and expose families to other community resources. To date, the organization has service approximately 400 youth and their families in Duval and surrounding counties.
